Hammock Happily

Residential Life has several hammock stands located throughout campus, near Galena, Gillett, and Gateway Halls. These stands were funded by the Residential Halls Association (RHA). Follow these guidelines to ensure you’re hammocking happily!

Do:

  • Bring your own hammock
  • Be responsible for your own safety
  • Hang your hammock low enough to get in without jumping or climbing
  • Report misuse to housing@missouri.edu

    • Don't:

  • Climb on hammock poles
  • Leave your hammock unattended
  • Sit or lie beneath a hammock
  • Sleep overnight in your hammock
  • Hang your hammock with metal fasteners
  • Stretch your hammock tightly before getting in
  • Hang your hammock above or below another hammock
  • Hang more than two hammocks to a pole
